The International Pentecostal–Anglican Commission (IPAC) has held the final annual meeting of its first mandate, bringing together Anglican and Pentecostal representatives to continue work on a shared statement exploring the theme of ‘Transforming Holiness’.

The Commission met at Journey Church in Calgary, Canada, from 6 to 12 June. Hosted by the Pentecostal World Fellowship, the meeting included morning and evening prayer led alternately by Anglican and Pentecostal members, as well as an Anglican Eucharist on the Sunday.

During the meeting, members shared stories and examples of relationships between Anglicans and Pentecostals in different parts of the world. These experiences have informed the Commission’s work under the mandate given to it by the Anglican Communion and the Pentecostal World Fellowship.

The Commission made significant progress on its common statement, with the remaining sections expected to be completed over the coming months. The finished report will then be published and presented to the Anglican Communion and the Pentecostal World Fellowship.

Members also joined Sunday worship at Jubilee Church and met with local Pentecostal leaders. They held conversations with the Most Revd Greg Kerr-Wilson and the Revd Dr Dane Neufeld about the life of the churches in Canada and issues connected to the Commission’s work.

The report will bring together the Commission’s theological reflections, shared experiences and learning from Anglican–Pentecostal relationships around the world.
